Roots represent the foundations, the origins from which we begin.
They symbolize the connection with the past, with family and with the land. It is from these starting points—the people who brought us into the world and the earth that nourished us—that we take flight, growing wings and becoming something different and unique.
The Spring | Summer 2026 collection – ROOTS and WINGS draws inspiration from the past and from the traditional materials of our Tuscan heritage.
Raffia, a plant fiber valued for its resilience in weaving crafts such as baskets and straw coverings—and a key material in the Florentine hat-making tradition—is used here in unconventional ways. We have created jackets and dresses in pure raffia woven diagonally on the loom; intertwined it with crêpe cottons to form fringe-like textures; developed jacquards keeping the raffia strictly on the outside so its rustic hand never disturbs the body; and reduced it to a refined rustic detail in garments made of super-soft viscose.
We also explored lace stitches inspired by the Italian interpretation of Venetian lace, reimagined in a contemporary way. Double fabrics are partially opened to create surface perforations, while the interior layers are made of ultra-light, finely combed cotton to resolve transparency while preserving lightness.
The cottons are extremely light with a crêpe touch; linen-silk blends are essential and clean; viscose fabrics are stretch, compact and fluid. Silhouettes are soft, with A-line shapes or ruffles that resemble wings.
The palette moves through natural tones—milky whites, creams, lime, and shades of beige and camel—alongside earthy colors ranging from bronze to ebony.
A look rooted in the present, yet carrying both past and future within it. The result of what we have lived and what we will live.
